Mrs. Carolyn Butler Jamison was born on April 30, 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Inez Holman Butler and Henry Butler. She passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2025.
Mrs. Jamison was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg and graduated from Wilkinson High School. After graduation, she attended South Carolina State College. Following her studies, she joined the workforce, where she was employed with BellSouth and AT&T before retiring.
She enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. Her greatest joy, however, was the love she shared with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and cherished her beloved dog, Trip. She will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Jamison; and her sister, Marilyn Butler.
Mrs. Carolyn Butler Jamison leaves to cherish her memory her only son, Craig (Patricia) Jamison; grandchildren, Dequiton Bowman, Tonisha Bowman, and Keyona Bowman; her brother, Henry (Gail) Butler Jr.; sisters-in-law, Mary Bateau, Delphine Jamison, and Maxine Huckaby; special niece, Dr. Sheridan Salley Coleman; special cousin, Venus Robinson; goddaughter, Shaletha “Lisa” Wright; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
