Mr. McChiven Clyde Pollock, affectionally know as “Top” to friends and family, was born on October 28, 1955, to the late John and Ethel Bell Pollock. McChiven passed away on October 3, 2024.
“Top” was educated in the public school of Lexington and Richland School District Five and graduated from Irmo High School.“Top” proudly served in the United States Army. “Top” was employed with Cox Pools for thirteen years after moving from South Carolina to Alabama.
“Top” had a passion for playing golf, checkers, and chess. He was a handyman and enjoyed DIY projects, grilling, and entertaining his family and friends. He loved to be the life of the party.
Although he is no longer with us physically, his love and memories will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
“Top” leaves to cherish fond memories of him, three children: Courtney (Morgan) Pollock, McChiven C. Pollock II, Whitney (Eric) Bell; grandchildren: Khamryn Pollock, Keiondre Pollock, Cayden Pollock, Christopher Bell, Madison Bell, Amani Bell, Micah Bell; Siblings: Princetta (George) White, Annette (Charles) Hall, Kathy (Lanelle) Pickett, Eric (Marilyn) Pollock, Connie Pollock, Ida (Sanford) Blocker, Tiwana (Greg) Corley, Brian (Christy) Pollock; his companion: Ella M. Patterson and a host of other loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral service for Mr. Pollock will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 835 Kennerly Road, Irmo, SC 29063.
